No option to add customer to sale

Hello, I have seen that most square terminals have the option to add a customer to a sale before the payment is made however on the Square Register terminal I am using, it only allows me to add a customer after the sale has been paid.

 

Does anyone know how to change this?

Hello at Jaz0 

 

Customers can be added when reviewing the Sale.  If you are not seeing this option I recommend you make sure to enable Customer Management by visiting Settings > Checkout > Customer Management. 

 

In this location, you can specify whether you'd like to add customers to a sale during or after the sale or at both times.

After reading this I was just wondering if I had this enabled or not. I went to follow your Instructions of

Settings > Checkout > Customer Management

 

On an Ipad I go through  More > Settings > But no Checkout or Customer Management

 

On my Dashboard > Account & Settings > and again no Checkout or Customer Management

 

Did the terminology change or locations change for verifying I have this enabeled?

This will be on Square Point of Sale it will be More > Settings > Checkout > and Customer Management should indeed be there. This is on the latest version of Square Point of Sale @Candlestore

Maybe this is only on Point of sale since I have Square for Retail, my More > Settings > does not have Checkout on an Ipad see Picture attached.

If I press Account I get my Bank accout Information, Transfer Information, Business information etc.  But nothing to check what your stating.

 

But when I look on my android phone this information does show.

 

More > Settings > Checkout > Customer Management  (Bold is able to be seen on Android Device)

 

I was able to check and it is on on my android but unable to would not be able to verify if I only had an Ipad .

 

Why does Square give different access depending on the Device you use is my next question?

 

Or what are the steps to verify these setting on an Ipad?

 

 

Ipad is running Square 18.1
