I am trying to set up subscriptions and the items I have have value ($16) but when I put it in a plan, it shows "variable price" and when I try to assign the subscription, it shows $0 with no obvious way to change it.
Please advise.
One thing to check is whether the item itself was originally created as a variable-priced item inside your item library. If an item is set that way, the subscription will usually pull that setting over, which is why it keeps showing “variable price” or $0 instead of the fixed amount.
You may need to edit the item first and make sure it has a fixed price saved at $16, then go back and assign it to the subscription plan again. If it still continues showing $0 after that, I’d recommend reaching out to Square's customer support because they can check whether it’s a product setup issue or a subscription setting issue on the account side.
