My square reader won’t go green when a payment is selected so the card ca t read?

I’ve tried software updates and reinstalling the app but it still won’t allow the card to read. Normally it has single green light to tap and go. This step is missing

Hi @Luxortannin 👋 sorry to hear that you're having some trouble. 

 

Reinstalling the app was a good first step. We can try to factory reset the Reader and reconnect it to see if that gets the connection back. 

 

Let me know if you can test a payment after following these steps and if the light comes back. 

 

Open the Square Point of Sale App: 

1) Settings > Hardware > Card Readers > forget all card readers

2. Force-quit Square Point of Sale App

3. Open device settings 

4. Navigate to Bluetooth

5. Forget all Square Readers

6. Hold the button on the reader until the lights flash red

7. Reboot the Device

8. Re-launch the Square Point of Sale app, wait 1-2 minutes and re-pair the reader

Still nothing. If i move from my chrome book it works?
