My scanned items on square retail don’t work on square point of sale

I have put many barcodes into the square for retail and they work perfectly with my socket scanner. When I try to scan these same items in my square point of sale app, they come up as unknown. 

is this function not possible? All my inventory has transferred over into the ps from the retail but for some reason they won’t scan in the point of sale.

Hello @Quiltinthings Welcome to The Seller Community! I am sorry you are having some issues scanning. To confirm you are the items show up perfectly in Square Retail but when you scan with the socket scanner it shows unknown? Can you provide a picture of the error message?
