My customers see an error message when checking out on website with Square

I hired someone on Fiver to build my website back at Thanksgiving and it uses sqaure.  Everything has been working fine and then all of a sudden the last few days customers are getting an error message and to try again when checking out.  Any ideas?  I hate to re-hire the nutjob that built my site
