I just bought this square stand and 10th gen iPad and I am getting the error "failed to connect to square".
This is urgent as we are going to be at the Southern Christmas show this week.
I have 2 Square Stands, and you need the Ipad connected to your WiFi to connect to the internet. When your Ipad is connected to the Internet then follow this video on youtube for setting the rest up.
When putting the Ipad in the Stand you still need to download a Square app to process payments and for the the Stand to connect to Square.

Steps are Get Ipad connected to your Locations Wifi, Download the Square App through App Apps, Set up your Square Stand, Slide in the Ipad. Then open the Square App while Ipad is in your Square Stand. The stand should connect to the built in readers through the C-port. You need the Wifi connection to connect through the Square App to your account so any sales are assigned to you and to verify the credit card being charged.
