I am about to give up in a big crying heap on the floor.
Basically I have decided to move to Square from Wix for my website selling goods online.
I have done everything as instructed and the domain i purchased from Wix is now connected to Square and pointing to my Square site, however it is still not live (this was done on Friday 26th)
I got in contact with Wix to ask for help and they said i need to change the CNAME record to one provided by Square (I didn't get one). I did this and asked Square for this info and they said I didn't need it and had no idea why Wix needed it.
I am now so confused and stuck. I am not technically very good at stuff like this and have no idea what to do. Anyone else had this experience? Are Wix trying to make it more difficult to leave?
I don't want to transfer my domain as I paid until 2026 via Wix so it needs to just connect. Can anyone help? I am about to throw the laptop through the window.

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a frustrating experience, but please don't throw your laptop - I can definitely help you sort this out ! Could you first confirm your domain name ?
Square doesn't have a universal CNAME record, and it's not something that would actually be required in this situation.
If you're connecting a domain, you need to make sure the A records are both pointing to Square's IP address 199.34.228.164.
To do so, log into Wix and update the DNS settings to these values:
Alternatively, if you'd like to manage both your website and domain under one roof, you can look at transferring your domain to Square.
