Missing money

When I went to transfer my balance i noticed it was quite a bit less than what it should be. When I went to check if you take the total and minus the fees, what the balance available to transfer is, doesn’t add up. I went back and it’s happened on all my transactions for weeks. There’s a ton of missing money from $5-$20 per day.

Hi there @Beautymarkak.. It could be a couple of things.  For example, do you have a Square Loan?  If so, the daily repayment rate is deducted from our balances.  Also, if you sell gift cards, those load fees are also deducted.  And automated savings are also deducted each day.

Regardless, you can see an audit of your balance by going to your web dashboard > Balance > (select location).  Scroll to the Balance Overview section and select a date.  If you click the Payment Processing line, it will expand and show you everything that affected your daily balance.

I hope that helps.

Square Champion

Hello @Beautymarkak !

In addition to what @TheRealChipA said, I am wondering if you're running into an end of day issue as well.

Square's End of Day is 5:00pm PST. Any transactions taken after that time will show on the day's sales but will not have the funds transferred until the next business day. This is a banking thing versus something Square is doing.

The only way I've found to get around this limitation is to open a Square Checking account. Your funds are available to you immediately after a sale regardless of the time of day.
