Market stall: square register and power bank

Hello,

I have a busy fruit and veg market stall and have just bought two Square registers to use to track sales.

A generator is too noisy to run. I’m wondering if anyone has used a power bank to run two registers and a printer for 5-6 hours? Or if there’s an alternate solution?

Hi @sandycreek,

Square recommends Square Register be powered via an AC power source, however, if you have no other option you might want to consider a portable power station such as this one. I can't guarantee how many hours you'd get out of it, but I'd be looking on the more heavy-duty side of things given Register is designed with AC power in mind - especially if you're running two registers and possibly other devices from it!

An alternative solution might be Square Terminal, which has its own built-in battery, or Square Reader in conjunction with a compatible phone or iPad. Square Reader, phones and tablets can be more easily powered by smaller power banks.
