So how do I mark all of my active or new or in progress orders as complete? There isn’t a way to select multiple orders on the POS for square or square for restaurants. Usually I have to mark new orders as in progress, or in progress orders as ready, then mark those items as being delivered to the table. Is there a way to mark multiple orders as complete?

In order to make bulk actions on your orders, you would need to open your Square Dashboard > Orders > Overview. Once there you can Select Edit Orders. This will reveal Checkboxes and actions to perform on your orders. From here you can check as many orders as you need and select Mark as complete

Is there a way to set a default rule so customers DO NOT receive a notification when we mark an order complete.
I know there is an option to uncheck "notify customer by email" when we mark purchases as shipped. But there is now way to prevent the system from doing this for event tickets.

No, at this time, and because event tickets aren't automated, the complete order notification serves as an action to let customers know their order has been fulfilled.
I recommend submitting a feature request on our Ideate Board for Square Online. Our team monitors these boards, and we triage them to measure needs. You can search the boards to see if this has been requested before and add your use case if so!
