Manual entry help

I do a lot of manual entries, was using the app to give me a correct total with tax and then I would put it in manually when I was done I would then go back to the enter key on the app to enter it into the system after I’ve done this, a few times, I realized it was showing up twice in my grand total once under manual entry in once under the app how do I avoid this

Hello @Socinfused !

Let me see if I’m following your steps, please correct me if I’m wrong.

You use the number pad on the app to math out what the sale total will be, tell your cust, then come back to the app and ring it up normally using items you’ve created?

I think you’re making your work a lot harder than it needs to be. 😊

To solve your specific scenario, you can always remove items you’ve added to the sale. On the “tape” on your right side of the screen (or the screen after you hit Review Sale if you’re using a device vertically), swipe right to left on the item to delete it from the sale.

Using the keypad in general can be troublesome. If you have multiple taxes set up on your location, the keypad-entered figures will use all taxes by default, even if you don’t want or need them. Remembering to turn off each tax per item is something I could never do. Additionally, custom amount sales don’t get put in any specific category, so it’s going to be very hard to track your sales.

You can easily put the items the customer is interested in buying on the screen by ringing them in normally, and if they decide not to, just swipe to delete as I talked about above.

If I’m off base, please let me know, otherwise I hope this helps you!
