Major confusion: Sales Summary/Transfer Report changes

Is anyone having a really difficult time with the changes made to the sales summary and transfer reports?

My bookkeeper, CPA, and myself are so confused about the new report formats and can't find a streamlined way to align the Sales Summary and Transfer Report with the money we've actually received. Square has always confused and frustrated me and my financial team, but this is next level and I can't seem to find a solution. (Yes, I have tried linking to Quickbooks--HUGE mess. Yes I have tried the search bar--no answers.)

Has anyone found an invoice transfer report where the actual money you received matches the amount shown on the report? Thanks in advance!

@Pbco ;

Yes and No, Square's Sales summary shows the Gross Sales, plus Taxes and minus fees which may or may not be the Amount sent to your Account.  The other issue is the Transfer amount may show more deductions based off of Instant Transfer Fee or if you had a Loan payment removed from the Amount Transfered.  So if you go here in you Square Dashboard Balance : balances ;

Then choose your Location, Then View All Transfers, You should get a List of Dates with the Amount Transfered from Square to you.  If you click a date or an amount this will show the The number of Transactions, Gross Amount for those Transactions, Returns, Discounts, Net Sale, Tax, Tips, Gift Cards, Total Collected, Fees, Loan Payments, Then the $ amount Transferred.

Below all this will be Each transaction with Collected and an amount Net Total.

To keep my system matching in Quickbooks, I created a Line Item with a negative amount for Squares Fees, I call it merchant fee.

So what happens on my QB Sales Receipt for each Square Transaction is  I have a list of Items the Customer bought, minus the Square Fees, plus Sales Tax.  Then at the bottom this shows My net payment from Square for this transaction unless I do an Instant Transfer with additional fees.  This always matches my Deposits from Square to my bank account.

I do not have a Square to Accounting integration and found a 3rd party that does csv to Quickbooks.  So I use all the numbers from Square Transcations CSV files to import to my accounting software.  Here is how I get my numbers to match:

Here is a video of how I use to do this when I used Quickbooks Desktop : TPI to QBs Desktop
