Has anyone managed to get a headset magstripe and chip reader to work ?
Every time i plug one in (2 different ones) after a few seconds the red box comes up saying reader damaged.
Any ideas

I'm sorry to hear your readers are showing as damaged. Unfortunately, when this occurs, there are no troubleshooting steps we're able to offer you. Given that the Square Reader for magstripe was covered under a limited 6-month warranty, you would be required to purchase a replacement reader if you want to continue processing card payments.
We no longer sell the Square Reader for magstripe in Australia. Our current reader is the Square Reader for contactless + chip, which pairs via Bluetooth to compatible devices.
