Magstripe & Chip Reader Trouble

Hi everyone, 

Need help with the Magstripe reader connecting to Iphone X.

As you know the reader has 3.5mm thing into the headset jack but Iphone X has no round 3.5mm hole.

I bought a converter from lighting to 3.5mm but does not work on the  Magstripe reader.

What can I do? Thanks.

Hey @Tina25,

You can use Apple's headphone to lightning connector to plug in the swipe reader - though note that this reader is very rarely used in Australia, and all Australian issued cards will need to be run through chip or tap. You may be fine with just using tap and chip!

The swipe reader in Australia can be used:

- With overseas credit cards without chips or tap.

- Square gift cards.
