I have called and emailed square all day, two days now. My registers will not load. 6 total registers, 3 locations. WHY IS SQUARE NOT HELPING OR Fixing THIS Technical ISSUE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
All Square registers.
Will not accept any items in my menu.
ONLY will work with keypad entry.
When you say it won’t load, what exactly do you mean? I’m assuming you’ve logged in to your Square account on them. Is it possible for you to attach a picture of what you’re looking at when you start everything up?

Hi Jess, It was suck at the display page. There was an update that was bugged that would freeze or shut the register down at that point. Finally after hard resets new software loaded and worked as of yesterday 8/6 around 4pm EST. This was down since 8/4/21 at 4pm. The registers were inoperable. Hopefully square can get better from this. We personally bought 4k of ipads as that was our only option to do business.

I finally got them to work last night after hard resets.
I am basically a square engineer now with what we have gone through the past 4 days. I spent 12+ hours on the phone with Square tech support. I finally got support from Two mangers but could never call or email them directly. Tech support gets routed to Poland which is very frustrating. Creating a solution or and timeline and communication is key to solving problems. Square is majorly lacking here. SQUARE NEEDS TO IMPROVE OUTAGES AND COMMUNICATION WITH Customers.
You can not call someone at square direct, they can not give out a number or direct email, this is bad business from a small businesses perspective.
I am sitting duck waiting for square. My POS Went out at 4pm on Tuesday. It took until Friday at 5pm for them to come back online. It was a software issue with ONLY the square registers. We paid 5k plus for 6 of these registers and they are the lifeline of my business. Please get better square.
If your register is still down, try a hard reset. For us, it was stuck in the getting started page relating to the customer display.
