Looking to start a rental business, how to set it up with Square?

I am looking to start an event decor rental business, and I am trying to see if I could utilize Square's POS to accomplish this. I was looking to be able to charge for damage/lost items if something were to happen, maybe as a pre-authorization? I'm open to exploring other options on dealing with this, as I heard some will take a security deposit upfront and refund it? But it might not be worth the hassle with so many transactions (I require a 25% non refundable booking deposit upfront).  Any suggestions would be appreciated thank you!

That is a great question! It sounds like you would benefit from using Square Invoices. You are able to create deposits before the rest of the invoices are available for payments. You can find the steps to set that up here. If you have any additional questions about this, please let me know!
