Is square+ or square premium worth it?

Ive loved using Square! I havent had any issues till last month when messaging stopped working. I was about to buy the monthly subscription  for square+. Now that square messaging is having issues I'm not so sure I want to pay monthly for something that isn't 100% functional. Let me know when it's working again so I can get the Square+ subscription

Firstly, we know and understand how challenging service disruptions can be and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the disruption to Square Messages over the past month.

Moving forward, we’ve made a few updates to Square Messages to minimize potential disruptions in the future, and we’re happy to share that we’ve restored chat functionality with your customers who reach out to you via SMS. These communications will now be dependent on your customers starting the conversation by replying to service messages, like a receipt, appointment reminder, or order update, just to name a few. We’re also working to re-enable unrestricted outbound messaging capabilities early next year.

This doesn't fully resolve the issue. I should be able to contact my clients directly wether or not they contact me first. They've made an appointment with me which means they are willing to revieve messages from me.
