When I signed up I choose the regular headphone jack card reader and ended up getting a new phone and my phone only has the lightning plug. Is there a way to send my reader back and get the lightning plug one instead. Thank you in advance.
Square offers a 30-day return policy on all their hardware, so you should be able to return the wrong reader and get the correct one, although I'm not completely certain that it covers your situation (where you ordered the wrong piece.) Here's a link to their site where you can get the information you need to return the object and contact them if you need to.

I ordered the ear jack fob on Saturday but learned that I need the lightning fob because others in our group have new phones. Since I just put the order in on Saturday can I call someone to have the fob changed? If that can't be done, can I go purchase one at Target and get reimbursed since I need it in 10 days?

Once an order is placed, we're unfortunately not able to change the order. There's a limit of one free reader per Square account. As a workaround, you could us an adapter for the iPhone lightning connector to headset connector 👍.
Hello. I purchased a square reader for my Android phone. I got it at WalMart. Three days later my children gave me an iPhone for my birthday. I was trying to sign up to get a free reader, but had already started my sign up with the one I purchased. How do I get another reader?

The best way to rectify this would be to return the original reader and get a new reader right away.
The alternative option would be for you to go into one of our Authorized Retailers and purchase the reader for $10 and be reimbursed by the code in the packaging.
