i just started back up with my business. It has been many years since i have used square. io have a reader that i cant seem to connect. Are the older generation square readers no longer compatible to be connected?
Hi @Trendy_Maverick. I’m assuming in my reply that you mean the Square Contactless Reader. I’ve not heard that any older devices are no longer compatible. Since you don’t say what messages you are getting when you try to connect, I’m wondering if maybe all you need to do is factory-reset your device? The screen shot below from this help document tells you how to do that.
Hopefully that helps. If it doesn’t you’ll need to get on the phone with the Support Team to try to resolve this.
