Attempting to connect a Star TSP100III printer to my square 2nd gen stand. My iOS and apps are completely updated and everything has been restarted. The printer is powered up and connected to the USB hub and the stand is powered up. However, when I try to set up a print station, the printer does not appear as an option. In advanced setup it asks for the IP Address, but when I print out the network configuration all I see is 0.0.0.0. I'm at a loss about next steps, can someone please assist?
Hello, @Steve18. Welcome to our Seller Community! ⭐️
Sorry to hear that you are running into issues trying to connect your printer. Wish this was an easier process. Under How to Identify an Ethernet or Wi-Fi Printer you can find more details related to the steps to take in order to print your IP address.
If you are following the steps below (as it sounds like you are) but continue to experience the same issue, please contact us directly. A Square hardware specialist will be able to better assist you in this case.
Turn off the Star Micronics or Epson printer.
Press and hold the feed button.
Turn the printer back on.
Continue to hold the feed button until the Network Configuration report prints out.
Check the IP address on the printed report to make sure it matches the IP address listed for the printer in the Point of Sale app.
Thank you.
