I am looking to create an event and have guests pay via square in advance but do not have a Square website. I'm just looking for a link where guests can fill out their name/email and payment info.

You can enable Square's Online Store from the link in the dashboard. It won't cost you any money with the basic site, and you can capture the name, address, and cc info right there. I think for your situation it would be best, and it'll only take you a few minutes to get one event listed.
