Greetings,
Our POS system is setup so we have 25 booths each with 1-3 ipads, each booth has a different menu so we made each booth a location. Right now we have one team account for admins and one for volunteers for the booths. The volunteers though can logout of every device from one device. Beside making a account for every booth meaning creating an email for every booth what other alternatives are there?
At first I thought about using device codes but its essential that the volunteers cant customize the checkout screen, create new items, and create discounts as well as changing important settings like our passcode, business information, orders and basically having full administrative abilities to do anything they want to ruin our fundraiser.
Please help if you have any ideas. Thanks 😊
@KadesSeller Device codes will work perfectly for you. The team passcode has permissions of course and you can restrict all of those permissions on the team passcode so basically they can only make a sale and not edit any items, apply any restricted discounts, etc. The good thing about device codes is you don't have to give out access to all of your information. I would put a sticky or label with each device code on the back of the tablet or somewhere handy in case it gets logged out you can log right back in with the device code.
The admins would have the owner passcode which gives full access, so be careful there, without paying for team management you only get the owner passcode and a team passcode.
Thanks for the response but I’m not quite sure I understand the device codes fully, I think you are referring to the device management page but there doesn’t seem to be any options to adjust the device codes permissions on that page.
Where could I include what permissions to give this device?
You would have to go to team and permissions to set up the permissions for the team passcode to restrict those changes.
