I make lampshades to order. I have a limited amount of each fabric. For each lampshade, there are two types of options (Orientation: lamp or ceiling fitting, and Diameter: 20cm, 30cm, 40cm).
This means I have six possible iterations for each lampshade. It doesn't make sense for me to list stock separately for each option. I calculate my stock based on the overall amount of fabric that I have which dictates how many shades I can make.
Does anyone know how I can state stock for the entire product and not have to specify stock for each of my six options, which just does not make sense.
Any help v gratefully received!
Hi @lampmillinery, welcome to the Seller Community 🙂
Your business sounds super interesting!
What does your current set-up for your items look like?> If you could even share a screenshot example of the item settings it would be helpful. Have you added the iterations as variations?
I don't think you can stock for the item and not the variation, but it might be possible if you use modifiers instead of variations.
Also, are you selling online or in-person?
I would need a bit more info so I can do some testing.
