Hi! I'm wonder if anyone has identified how to do this in Items.
I own an ice cream shop and guests pick from 2 sizes: Mini & Regular. That sets the starting rate for the items and when modifiers are selected it increases the price to the "actual" cost.
With Mini they get 2 free items blended in and with Regular they get 4
The items vary and I have 4 different Modifier Groups within the items to include things like 1.) Cereals 2.) Candies 3.) Syrups or 4.) Drizzles
They problem pops up when customers do NOT want 2 or 4 add-ins. They may only want 1. However, we price everything the same. So my employees can undercharge and not even realize it.
Is there a way to ensure that the total price of an item equals xxx? Almost like a default even if the total # of Modifiers aren't selected?
I'd be interested in any kind of work around you've found!
Hi @vkotris. Before I answer this, I need to clarify. Which of the following is your item setup now? Let’s assume that you have two ice cream flavors — chocolate and vanlla. Do you have this setup as:
Option 1
Item Name = Chocolate
Variations = Mini or Regular
Add-ins = modifier list of add-ins
or Option 2
Item Name = Mini
No Variations
Flavors = modifier list of flavors
Add-ins = modifier list of add-ins
If possible, send me a few screen shots of an item as it is set up in your catalog.
Thanks!
