How to have distinct Favourite Profiles on Square Point of Sale

Hi,

 

I use the Square POS on a tablet for 2 different styles of events. 

This means I spend quite a bit of time changing the favorite tiles between each one as the types of items sold are quite different. 

Is there a way of saving a profile or favorite selection? 

I have had a search and can’t seem to fine one. Is there a way to suggest a feature if not?

 

Or does anyone have any workaround suggestions?

Hi @JumboB thanks for your post 🙂 

 

Setting up two locations within your account should allow you to do this. 

 

From your online Square Dashboard. You can:

  • Create unique business profiles for each location with specific business hours (or event in this case).
  • Add individual bank accounts or tags to differentiate transfers (you can have the same bank for both locations if this is not required).
  • Manage location-specific reporting so you have granular insight into each location’s performance.
  • Choose to match items from an existing Item Library.

You can assign specific items to each location or you can have the items available at both locations and just edit your favourite screens as you need. 

 

Once this is set up, when you log into your app you'll be prompted to select the location you want to log into. 

 

You can then switch between locations as needs be and have the items you need readily available. I have two locations within my account both have completely different favourite screens/items. 

 

You can find the steps to set up your additional location here. You can also disable locations / create new ones as much as you need, depending on your events.
