How to get a custom variations to show on invoice

Hi there!! Does anyone know how to modify an invoice template to show a custom variation to show on the invoice? I didn't want to use sku # but another ID but the customer variation I did does not show on the invoice. Appreciate any insight!

This would be a feature request for the Invoices template. If you would be able to, drop this over to the Ideate Board as a Feature Request. 

From there - other sellers can add their voice to the request & our Community Moderators will keep you up to date throughout the process.
