How to add Square eGift card to Apple Wallet

Hi guys - I'm from Australia - can you please assist how do I add the square e gift cards to apple wallet on iphones?

Thanks for writing back in to the Seller Community!

eGift cards can't be added to digital wallets at this time. Your customer will be emailed their unique gift card code, which can be redeemed at check out.

I just checked and it looks like I wasn't able to get this option from Australia, which leads me to believe it may be something still to launch in our market (like Apple/Google Pay for Square Online):

Sorry for the confusion! I'll put in a request with our content team to get that article amended, and if I hear of any updates I'll check back in here. If it's available in the US it should eventually release here, though I don't have an ETA at the moment.

Thanks really keen to hear any feedback or ETA on release in Aust as we have a quick paced sales in a school for limited times we need this to work fast - we don't have time to enter a 16 digit code.  And the school and P&C are under a mandate to reduce/eliminate cash sales so this would certainly help!

I'm not having any success finding out how to process ecards from my local rep here.  Would I have to manually enter the 16 digit code?  Do the barcode scanners connected to the square register also read the ecard code for processing payments?

Kristen here with a little update from the Square side: you can now add eGiftCards to Apple Wallet! 🥳
