I signed up for square using my personal email address which is also my logon.
I'm using checkout links to accept online orders from customers and square emails them a receipt when the transaction is completed.
I set the location email address for my business to the business address but the receipts are still being sent from my personal email address.
How do I fix this?

The steps you did I believe are the only way to update the email address "sent from". Maybe something didn't stick when saving your email ? I know it may sound stupid, but have you tried to remove that address, and then re add and saving it again?
