How do I begin my contract with square? Can I negotiate the agreed upon fees?

I would like to know more details about the fees that will be involved with using square pos.  I don't want to rush into something without knowing what the fees are.  Can I talk to someone to get the lowest fees possible?

You can check out the different fees associated with squares hardware here and here.  

There are no contracts with square, and you simply pay when you make a transaction using one of their methods of payment. 

As far as getting a custom rate, and being a potentially new seller, I don't believe you would be able to get one just yet.   Per this article, you would need annual sales of at lesat $250,000  and have an average ticket sale of $15 as well.
