How do I allow for more than one item to be purchased for each session time in appointments?

I have set up our appointments at 5 minute intervals for photography sessions in services (5 minutes per booking), but want customers to be able to pre-purchase more than one item.  The way it is set up at the moment, if customers choose multiple services (as in 1 photo, 2 photos etc which are set up as a 5 minute service) the system allows a 5 minute slot for each item therefore allowing a 15 minute time slot. We have 5 minute time slots people can book, and we want them to pre-purchase any of our merchandise items as part of that booking, while only allowing the 5 minute booking time.  Ideally it would be great if the time slot could be booked then at the checkout point customers could select their purchase items then proceed to payment.. is this possible?

I think the issue you're seeing here is that you want to sell physical items via your Appointments booking website, where the Appointments website can only book services (which in turn have a time length attached to them). If you're selling physical items then you'd not want to list them as a service but a physical item, the downside is you'd also not be able to sell them on you Appointment site.

 

Having the ability to sell item add-ons on the same website would be very convenient, I'll start using the thread to track this feature request and pass on your comments to the Appointments product team.

 

The workaround is that if you have the Appointments app you can sell items though this after your customers have their photo taken (or perhaps even if they phone in an appointment and you run it via the app - I've not checked this functionality before!), or you can also do this via the Point of Sale app.

 

Sorry I couldn't be of more help here! Hopefully this is an improvement that may be implemented in the future. If I hear of anything I'll tag this thread!
