I'm trying to preview my square site, but because it hasn't been published yet the different options and modifiers don't show up. Is there a way to preview individual items before listing them as available to order?
Suggest publishing your site. Doing so may get things in order. You can then upublish it or hide it if does not look or function the way you intended. Just something to try as we have experienced from our history.
