Having issues getting my iPhone Bluetooth to connect to the reader

My iPhone is not connecting to the reader  Bluetooth won't connect  help

Welcome to the Community, @CakeRescue!

Most of the time we can resolve this issue by resetting the Bluetooth state on your Square Reader and mobile device:

1. Open the Settings app on your mobile device.

2. Toggle Bluetooth off and then back on.


Once that's complete, follow the below steps for iOS devices.

Make sure Bluetooth permissions for the Square POS app is enabled:

1. Go back to the Settings app on your iOS device.
2. Tap Privacy & Security > Bluetooth.
3. Toggle on Bluetooth for the Square POS app(s) you are connecting your Square Reader to.

Delete the Bluetooth connection from your iOS device:

1. To prepare the reader to reconnect to your app, head back to the Settings app on your iOS device.
2. Tap Bluetooth and locate your Square Reader under My Devices.
3. Tap (i) next to any Square Readers > Disconnect or Forget This Device.
4. Restart your mobile device by turning it off and then back on.
