HELP! Weebly lost my domain.

Don't think I've ever been more frustrated with any service provider.

Purchased my domain from weebly in 2018 then only renewed it with Weebly afterwards. Payment is set up on direct debit. Never transferred my domain to another service provider or host. Weebly direct debited a 2-year renewal fee on 2 July 2025 (which went through successfully), the next day the website stopped working and so did our email.

1. Contacted Weebly for support, Weebly says "we are not managing your domain. WHOIS says your domain registrar is Instra Corp".

2. Contacted Instra Corp (even though i've never heard of them or interacted with them before), they said "Even though we are the listed registrar, we are not managing this domain. Try our reseller Central Nic or Network Solution".

3. Contacted Central Nic (even though i've never heard of them or interacted with them before), they said "We are not managing this domain, Network Solution is".

4. Contacted Network Solution (even though i've never heard of them or interacted with them before), they said "We cannot locate any account or record associated with this domain. Since you purchased and previously renewed with Weebly, you should contact them."

5. Back to square 1, Weebly says "We are not managing your domain. Go to Instra Corp."

I have never renewed my domain or transferred it to another service provider. Weebly appears to have just LOST my domain all of a sudden. Absolutely no use from the support ticket answers or online chat - just telling me to contact Instra Corp.

Anyone encountered a similar situation before?

Hi @WeeblyLostMyDom,

I’m really sorry to hear you’ve been feeling like you’ve been given the runaround — that’s definitely not the experience we want for you.

A reliable way to check who your domain registrar is would be to use who.is, a handy tool that provides detailed information about any domain, including the registrar and hosting provider. Since I don’t have your website URL yet, I’m unable to look up the details for you right now.

When checking, the key thing to look for is the nameserver (NS) settings. For websites registered through Square (which owns Weebly), the nameservers will often show Register.com. So if your domain is registered with us, you should see register.com settings there.

To help get things moving, please share your website URL in your reply. That way, I can run some checks on my end to determine:

1. Whether we can assist you directly, and

2. Which team would be best to support you moving forward.

Also, I noticed you’re based in the UK and posting in the AU Community — that’s totally fine! Just a heads-up that our response times might be a bit slower due to time zone differences, but we’ll do our best to assist you as quickly as possible.
