Fixing Automatic application of sales taxes (items showing TWO taxes when added to system)

Any time a new item is added to the store, BOTH food & non-food taxes are applied to the new items automatically. How do I fix that?

I do not know how to NOT apply the taxes automatically, I went through the same issue just trying to turn off the sales tax for non Taxed items.   The only thing you can do is after creating the item, open the item and Unselect the Tax you do not need for the newly created item.   When Square changed the Sales Tax setting for the ability to add more than one Sales tax everything went sideways, it seems.   Not sure when or if they will straighten out all these issues.

From your Dashboard you can select Items- then search for the item you need to change the Sales Tax for  Or From Items in your App you can select Items at the bottom or under More - Items depending on app and then search for the item and deselt the tax you do not need.

I put in a Request for this feature about adding taxes to a new Item with a Toggle switch etc instead of defaulting to all available taxes.
