Feature or bug? Cash Drawer - Square for Restaurants - Can't open the drawer besides closing it

We are using Square for Restaurants.  Occasionally we need to pop the cash drawer open, whether it be to put something in for storage or doing the change.

There seems to be no way to open the cash drawer in Square for Restaurants apart from a sale or closing the drawer altogether.  Our drawer is connected via printer.  When we were using Square for Retail, there was a "test cash drawer" button under the printer configuration.  I have looked far and wide for the option to open the drawer and even tried a $0 sale.  Can't find anything.

If this feature is missing there needs to be something to address this.

In Square for Restaurants you can start a new sale and press Pay > Confirm $0.00 and that'll pop the drawer open
