Failed Refund

Not sure if this has anything to do with Square services being down this past Thursday, but on Friday we had a transaction processed (food and beverages) that included an incorrect entry made by one of our bartenders. As is the case when this has happened in the past, one of our managers processed a refund for the customer. On Sunday, that customer called to ask about the status of the refund. While looking at the refund in the Transactions list on our Square POS (we use Square Stands with iPads), it says "Refund - Failed". There is no explanation as to the reason why. Thus, I attempted to issue the refund again, and the second attempt showed the same "Refund - Failed" message almost immediately. How can I process this refund for this customer? She is a regular customer and has used her same card to pay for things in the past - and the overcharged transaction went through fine - I just can't get the refund to process correctly. Help?

This is super strange. 

Can you just offer her cash the next time she's in or give her the next order free?

I would recommend calling in to support today to speak to someone about this in the meantime.
