If you go to this area of your Square online dashboard, you should be able to see what you're subscribed to...I'm not sure what the POS for $27 is you're referring to; the use of the Square App/POS is generally free and you only pay for credit card processing. Is the fee you are currently paying for because your purchased a POS hardware on a payment plan? The Retail plus would be an upgrade to the next tier from the free Retail. You do not need to pay for both.
Check your dashboard, and you should have an option to upgrade.
Account and Settings > Business Information > Pricing and Subscriptions
