Did anyone get their processing fees waived?

Hello!

I got an email offering to waive up to $1K of processing fees if I completed the Square 15 minute survey. Duly completed within the deadline date, I got to the end and it said:

"Thank you for your time!
Unfortunately, we are looking for those who meet specific qualifications to participate in this survey. As a result, you will not be eligible for the survey gift/incentive.
Rest assured that the information that you have provided will not be shared with any third parties and will be kept confidential.
We hope you will consider participating in future surveys."

This seems exceptionally uncool (there was no such caveat in the small print), and I'm now wondering if it's actually a phishing email and not from Square at all?

Did anyone do it and pass the requirements to get the waived fees?
