I'm heading to my first market and want to do a 3 for $30 discount for my items.
A single item is $11.50. So instead of charging $34.50 for 3 items, I want to do $30. Which is a $1.50 discount on each item.
How do I set that up on Square?
I've tested it already but it applies the discount even if I just have 1 item in the cart (eg. 1 item in cart will automatically get $1.50 discounted even if it doesn't meet the minimum of 3 items)
Hope that makes sense!
Hey there, @botw1, thanks for reaching out with your question!
The easiest way to apply a discount to a group of items at checkout like this would be to create a variable-priced discount. This allows you to manually enter an amount to discount at checkout.
When creating this discount, be sure to leave the Amount field blank. Give this a try on your end and let me know if this is heading in the right direction for what you need.
I'll keep a lookout for your reply here. 👍
Ah great. Thanks Laurie! That seems to be the best way
