From within the Square POS or Square Dashboard, can someone please tell me how to create a report that tells me how many (count) of each item that is part of an Active Order?
Use case:
I need to know how many of each bagel flavor I need to bake to fill my pre-orders. I come to work in the AM, click the Square POS, and I need to see total number of Plain, Everything, etc my customers have requested for a specific day.
Example:
Friday, 4/11:
10 Everything
8 Plain
5 Onion
Hi there, @otrbagels,
First, I noticed that this is your first post on the Square Community, so I just wanted to say welcome! While you are here, we recommend checking out our Orientation & Etiquette.
As for this type of report on Square, we don't have a feature like that at this time, but feedback like this is very helpful when planning for future releases. I recommend that you submit this on the Ideate board within our Square Community. On this board, different Sellers are able to submit feature requests and other Sellers are able to vote on these ideas to our product team.
Can I export the orders to an xlsx?
Yes you can export orders to a csv file.
You can also apply filters for date range, Type, Payment Status, Channels, Location, or Order Status.
This is pretty much the way you would download your Catalog or Transactions as a csv or excel file.
Welcome to Square.
First, thank you!
Second, Pocono Candle! Wow! Awesome! Memories! PHMS Class of 88. 🙂
Third, what’s confusing is in the Square iOS app, I can go to the sales report and see a count of each item. In the browser, I only see dollars and cents.
I thought I was computer literate. Am I missing something?
Usually in reports with Square you see $ amounts, Square maybe testing counts on the apps. I hope this helps
