Coupons for eGift cards not working?

We have set up a coupon code to use when buying eGift cards but when you input the code, it says it’s invalid. We have the same code set up with Square and Weebly. Am I missing something?

@I believe the coupon code for e-gift cards are separate from the ones for regular square & Weebly. 

You would set up a specific e-gift card discount code in the Gift Card Settings on your web dashboard. Click on Gift Cards in the left sidebar, then e-gift cards, then promotions, and from there you can set up a discount code.
