Concerns about Square POS upgrade on November 8, 2022

I am getting notifications that my Square POS will be upgraded on November 8, 2022 if I don't do it sooner. I am also being told that only systems running iOS 14 or higher can be upgraded. My system is old enough that it cannot be upgraded to iOS 14. I can't afford new hardware right now. Am I going to have problems that day? It's Election Day, which means schools will be closed in our area and my business will be busy. Anyone have any advice?

Thank you for reaching out, I am happy to provide some insight.  I know receiving an email like this can be alarming. To ensure you get the best experience with Square, starting November 1, 2022, new Square products and features will only be available on devices running iOS 14 or higher. So you can still operate using the older version but it is highly recommended that you update your ios device you can to ensure the system is operating to the best of its abilities.
