Hello @Bjscarff thanks for your post. Is there a cable connected to the reader stands that you have plugged into a wall outlet or other component? This may or may not ship with a power cable, but I think the dock needs plugged in to a power source to be able to power the reader.
If the dock is getting power from a source, then it seems odd that it won't charge the actual reader. Maybe someone with experience with the dock would be able to comment here also.
