Charges from Square

I signed up with Square in Dec 2024 and used the Square for 1 day. I now see charges from Square on my credit card $20 then $40...what are these charges I thought we only get charged when we use the square? Anybody know? Thanks C

Hi there @ColleenM.. It sounds like you might have signed up for a trial subscription of some paid feature -- like Retail Plus, or Restaurants Plus, or Square Online.  If you did, and then you forgot to cancel the trial subscription, it would have started billing you monthly for them.  You can cancel from your web dashboard > Settings > Account & Settings > Pricing & Subscriptions.  There you will see a list of monthly subscriptions which you can cancel.

 

As for payments that you have been charged, you will need to get on the phone with customer support.  I'm not sure how far back they will do refunds, but there is a look-back period.  December 2024 is a long time not to notice money coming out of our accounts, so don't be surprised if, say, they only refund for 6 months back.  That is pretty standard for subscription refunds.
