Cash Drawer opens on $0 sale.

Is there a way to prevent the Cash Drawer from opening on a $0 sale?  Each time our employees comp a sale, it opens.  It would be nice not to have to shut it each time 🙂

Thanks!

Hi @Camp4Fun.  Currently, this is not possible.  You could try to submit to submit a feature request for the POS product team to consider.  But since most sellers use the $0 sale as a way for employees to open the drawer between sales (for whatever reason), I’m not sure how they’d differentiate.  In my shop, my employees use “Charge $0.00” to open the drawer when their tip jar is stuff full and they need to reclaim singles and/or consolidate, for example.  I know that I, like many, would not want this feature to go away.  Maybe Square could consider a new setting we could use to say which action we prefer.
