Card reader issues

Ill start by explaining.  I use square stand with reader. Last night is the first time I’ve had a problem. 
The pos started to glitch out. Adding items to checkout by itself.  I put this down to an issue with the ipad.  So I tried to switch over  to my phone app so that I could continue to take payments. However, the card reader would not connect.  Eventually when it did connect it would pop up with a “need to update pos” and wouldn’t let me take payment’s.  Both my iphone app and ipad app are up to date. 
Before posting here I should mention.  
1. Hard reset Ipad, iPhone and card reader.

2. Tried to reconnect the reader to iphone, sale update message shows

3. Tried reconnecting iPad to the stand with reader and is ok for a few minutes, then the glitch happens again

 

4. Are the sales team capable with assisting via phonecall?

I'm sorry to hear you've had trouble with your Square Reader. The error you're describing on your phone usually comes up when you're running a Beta Version of iOS. If your phone is running on the iOS 15 Beta, the workaround is reverting back to the previous version. 

 

On your iPad, can you check that your iOS settings allow the Square Stand to keep a constant connection to your iPad. Follow these Apple steps to allow access to USB accessories on your iPad.
