Can you use Open Tickets with Invoicing through Square Dashboard?

Hi team,

We make products and use the dashboard to send Estimates/Invoices to clients.  We find that we are manually recording the options for our products (with modifiers) onto a 'build' ticket that is taking a lot of time by hand.

We are also currently developing a WooCommerce site that already has square integration and have had a few test orders come through.

Looking at a 'build ticket', I recently came across Open Tickets, and was wondering if I can connect to my PC Dashboard a ticket printer and get the Customer Name, Product Requested and modifier options all printed onto a ticket to save some manual processing? Surely this doesn't only work in the food industry, right?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Ben

Hey @BennyT19,

I'm not sure about that one!

If you're a web developer with the know-how you can take a look at what our APIs can do here. I'm not a web developer and have no experience with the technicalities of using our APIs - but you can find links to various API support resources from that hub. It'd be worth reaching out to check if something like this would be possible to custom build!

Hey @BennyT19,

Thanks for getting in touch!

Square's invoice system is an email based system that operates independently of Open Tickets, which is a feature of POS app designed to track say, a group in a restaurant adding to their bill over a single dining session.

There's unfortunately no way to integrate those two systems together at the moment, and Open Tickets isn't a feature available via the online dashboard. Sorry I couldn't be of more help here!

Thanks @Seamus for looking into it.

Would it be possible to do it maybe with the API plug-in to pull data off the customer records with a web query, develop a backend process and send it to print?  I'll read up on it a bit more and see if I can find some more info.
