Hi, I’m a newbie.. I started using square today and have had to insert every customer because the tap isn’t working... any ideas?

Thanks for getting in touch and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your reader!
While we are unable to look into specific account issues via our Seller Community forum, did you ensure the cards were tap compatible and were held on the reader while the single green light appeared once, after having pressed "Charge" on the app?
If you're still seeing issues with the reader I recommend calling our support team on 1800 760 137 to help troubleshoot the issue. If needed they will be able to hep you replace the reader under warranty. Lines are open Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm Melbourne time.
