Your best option is to contact Customer Support.  Although the Community can help and/or answer many questions, it's not the same as Customer Support.  Hopefully, they can help with your concern.

I wanted to pop in to provide this resource on Square Hardware warranties and returns from our Support Center. Square offers a 30-day, risk-free return policy on all hardware purchased from Square Shop. The instructions for returning your hardware are included in that article as well.
