I have about 6 product categories, and I would like to create a report which gives me totals for just a few of the categories joined together - ie: adding together my hot food, cold food and drinks category to give me a total for 'FOOD sales' - we have other categories too for non-food items but they are all individual. Can anyone walk me through how to create a report like this to save me manually having to each week total up the 3 categories separately into one total? thanks 🙂

Unfortunately what you're describing is not presently a feature of Square's reporting system. We'd need to have sub-categories in order to achieve something like this - at the moment you'd need to take the categories data from Square and separately calculate these figures.
I will pass on your feedback though! Sub-categories are something we've had a few requests for, so they may make it into our product offering in the future.
